Annie received her MFA from MICA in 2003 and moved back to Virginia, where she grew up. She currently teaches adjunct at Hollins University in Roanoke, Virginia. She has a major upcoming exhibition at Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina (Summer 2015) and will be in another group show at Hollins University in January 2014. Her work is also currently being featured in the national magazine Cloth Paper Scissors. She recently had a show and gave an artist talk at Patrick Henry Community College in Martinsville, Virginia. In Fall 2013, she gave a talk and, through funding from a a state grant, also did a performance piece at Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia. The three examples of new work shown below represent the culmination of a two year studio intensive in which she expanded upon themes of work that she began during her 4 year journey at MICA.
