MFAST alumnus Fritz Horstman curates an exhibition at The Old American Can Factory in Brooklyn, NY

Imaginary Moments, an Ortega y Gasset Projects exhibition curated by Fritz Horstman (MFAST ’11), brings together four artists whose paintings, sculptures, and photographs explore an urge to create imaginary monuments, or document real ones. The desire to capture monuments stems in part from the artists’ recognition and celebration of the precariousness of contemporary culture and current historicizing trends.

The artists featured in the show are Aimée Burg, Mark Dixon (MFAST ’12), Thale Fastvold, and Emily Hass.

An opening reception will be held Saturday, April 25 at 6:00 p.m. at The Old American Can Factory, 363 Third Avenue, Ground floor, Brooklyn, NY. The exhibition runs through May 24. For more information, visit www.oygprojects.com.
