Frank P. Phillips to give an artist talk at Honfleur Gallery

MFAST alumnus Frank P. Phillips will discuss his latest works at Honfleur Gallery in Washington, DC on February 21st at 2 p.m. In his abstract paintings, Phillips conveys the ideas of construction, mass, and volume. The display of process is an integral component to his work—it tracks the time, mistakes, revisions, and the experience used to arrive at a resolved composition. The formally arranged imagery is all invented, but takes cues from architecture and engineering, as well as the erosion and decay of perceived ruin.

Frank P. Phillips received his MFA in 2005 and now lives and works in Alexandria, VA.

Phillips’ solo exhibition will run through February 27th. For more information on the exhibition, visit
