Keystone Iron Works Showcased at Arts on Fire Festival 2013

Nikki Moser (MFAST ’14) is cofounder of Keystone Iron Works, an iron casting program for at risk teens. The program was the centerpiece of the Arts on Fire Festival  in Scranton, PA, which took place this year on June 7th, 8th, and 9th. Students worked directly with skilled visiting sculptors and faculty from Keystone College to learn the unique art of producing cast iron sculpture, including sculpting a clay positive, making and assembling a mold, preparing the furnace, melting and pouring the iron. JVW Inc. shot and edited a short film describing the festival and the mission of Keystone Iron Works. The film can be seen here.
